Rome, 2012. Just an ordinary day in the life of Simon Pietro, a young aspiring rapper, heroin addict and drug dealer, adrift, desperate, unemployed and moreover with an outstanding debt with local thug Alfio. Amidst memories of past live and lost loves, trafficking and shooting up, he is the center of a microcosm of characters, trying to get from one day to the next, lost in a city that holds no pity for them.

Travel in a wheelchair and without money has never been an inconvenient for him. The journey (and the film) can be considered sheer madness, a lovely romance or an epic adventure. Or perhaps, a bit of everything.

Prague in the year 1983, amidst the Communist-imposed normalization, a suffocating atmosphere ruled over by the secret police, 17-year old student Micky and his best friend David share a dream to put together a band, even if they dont have the slightest clue as to what kind of music to play. Once they hear The Clashs London Calling, their path is clear and their revolt against authority, social norms, and adult responsibility has begun. They form a provocative punk band and start to write the history of the punk movement in communist Czechoslovakia. A comedy drama about coming of age, searching for your models and values, and the real meaning of the punk slogan No future.

A story of father and his son, Valdemar and Benjamin, who work as clowns. They travel with their circus around Brazil. One day, Benjamin starts to be unsure about his ability to make people laugh and his own future. He decides to follow a different path to find his answers and pursue his dreams: a fixed address and a woman. In the journey, he meets several people on the way to find his own identity.

I Am Nasrine

Nasrine and Ali are sister and brother in a comfortable middle class Iranian home, but when Nasrine has a run-in with the authorities, the punishment is more than she bargained for. At her father’s bidding, she and her brother set out for the United Kingdom, torn about leaving behind their home and all that they know, embarking on a reluctant exile. Still, for Nasrine, there is undeniable excitement about the prospect of starting a new life in the West, and an eagerness for its promise of new freedoms. Nasrine is quick to settle into her new life, making friends and forming bonds with the travelers, an English gypsy community. Her brother Ali, however, struggles with the realities of life in the UK and his awakening sexuality. Then comes 9/11, and things spiral out of control when an unimaginable tragedy occurs. “I Am Nasrine” is an intimate journey of self-discovery and ultimately reveals the unfolding of a soul. When you change where you are do you really change who you are?

Garib Nagar slum, in Bandra district (Bombay, India) is Rubinas home, a 12-years old girl who aims to become an actress and change the slums into a more clean and habitable place.

Autobiography of the Italian University is the first group photo of our universities. A journey from the North to the South of Italy, where people fight everyday against the lack of funds, the indifference of media and of governments. These isolated people regularly find themselves in the streets, fighting for their rights.

Deans, professors emeritus, maîtres à penser as well as students are all at the forefront, actively engaged in their own university areas. It is the portrait of a single and large organism that includes contradictions, anomalies, social differences and beliefs in changes.

Andrea and her grandma havent been on speaking terms for many years. The grandma has always rejected her granddaughters life choices and, although she has been hospitalized, she doesnt want to make up with her. Andrea doesnt show any willingness to compromise. Her pride is an insurmountable obstacle to her grandma and it also made her argue with her partner, Bea, with whom shes bringing up their baby, Federico. While Andreas mom tries to fix her daughters relations both with Bea and the grandma, something unexpected moves Andreas feelings.
