SYNOPSIS:
158 million people live in Indian slums in very appalling and unhealthy conditions. Millions of children play surrounded by rubbish, cows, rats and excrements. Garib Nagar slum, in Bandra district (Bombay, India) is Rubinas home, a 12-years old girl who aims to become an actress and change the slums into a more clean and habitable place.

BIOGRAPHY:
Manuel Fernández has a Bachelor Degree in Communication Studies at Universidad Complutense of Madrid and studied filmmaking in University of Sydney (SCA). After six years working as a publicist in big agencies, he went to Australia where he studied cinema and worked in the film industry. He is currently working on a famous Spanish television program, called Cuarto Milenio, as the filmmaker of the horror and science fiction short films contained in that program. Iosu López worked in some of the most important media of the country, before abandoning everything to fulfill a childhood dream: to travel the length of America, North to South, by land. The result is The American Seam, an autobiographical tale of a 10 month and 45.000 kilometers long solitary journey, along the Panamerican Highway, from Alaska to Argentina.
