SYNOPSIS:
Between the dog and the wolf reconstructs the experience of the Collettivo Cinema Militante di Milano (Militant Cinema Collective of Milan), which came into being in ’68.
The director’s voice alternates with film shot by the Collective, recently restored and mostly never previously released, and with interviews to the Collective’s filmmakers. Not only street demos but also the battles for housing, the internal migration, factories and the escalation of violence.
The film uses three generations of a family to narrate the constant interweaving of collective and personal memories.

She began working in the area of production and subsequently progressed to roles with greater scope for authorship, directing and film-making. Her experience has focused in particular on the re-evaluation of found footage from both cinema and TV repertories: from Edmondo Berselli’s programmes (“Down There in the North”, “Up There in the South” and “A Journey through the Valley of the River Po”), to “TV Talk” (with Massimo Bernardini). “Tra il cane e il lupo” is her first full-length film, both as a director and as a writer.
