SYNOPSIS:
Wangki is the river that separates Nicaragua from Honduras, a borderland of Central America, where the Miskito people lives. BIOGRAPHY:
Joana de Freitas Ginori born in 1985 and grew up in Rome. She graduates in DAMS in Documentary Film and begins to collaborate with several foreign tv news and worked abroad for a Few film Festivals. In 2012 she travels to Nicaragua to do a research on violence against indigenous women. From this journey comes Wangki, her first work as a filmmaker.
Matteo Vieille Rivara was born in Rome in 1986. In 2005 he began his studies at DAMS, where he graduated in film directing in 2009. He attended the Experimental Center of Cinematography in the period 2010/2012 where he graduated in film editing. He made, as director and editor, many documentaries, short films, commercials and music videos for several Italian productions.
