SYNOPSIS:
When 7 year old Leo and his little sister Annetta wake up in the morning their mom Emma is sleeping. Or is she dead? Alone they have breakfast and play. They live without their mom until Gabriele, her boyfriend, arrives, and then their grandma arrives. In the end, the adults talk, ambiguity is resolved, and everyone finds their way into the night.

Valentina Carnelutti is an Italian and international actress and screenwriter. She has worked with directors such as: Marco Tullio Giordana (The Best of Youth), Theo Angelopoulos (Dust of Time), Paolo Virzì (A Life Ahead), Citto Maselli (Le ombre rosse), Angelo Orlando (Sfiorarsi), Enrico Pau (Jimmy of the Hill), and Pippo Mezzapesa (Il paese delle spose infelici). She is the author of the screenplays Sfiorarsi, Casa libera tutti, and of the short film reCuiem. She wrote and directed the documentary Melkam Zena Good News (shot in Ethiopia) and a video clip for Francesco Tricarico, Le conseguenze dellingenuità. reCuiem is her first short film.
