SYNOPSIS:
The Islamic world is diverse and complex, and it is often subject to oversimplification and prejudice. The point of view of female Muslims is virtually absent from the current debate. Sumaya (blogger, first Muslim city councilor in Milan), Takoua (cartoonist from Rome) and Batul (psychiatrist from Trento) are three emancipated, ironic and opinionated women with whom cover most of the issues inflaming the debate on the the Muslim world are covered. From the uncertain outcome of the Arab Spring, to the growing Islamophobia, they provide an unusual and powerful portray of young Muslim females in today’s Europe.

BIOGRAPHY:
Luisa Porrino achieved a Diploma in Fine Arts at the London Southgate Greater College. Then she joined a Master Class in Film Direction in Turin (Istituto Federico Fellini). Since 2000, she has been working as an assistant director, assistant and line producer. She has worked with many directors such as Spike Lee. She writes, directs and produces shorts film ("Il Bordo", 2007, premiered at Torino FF). In 2010, she founded Fargo Entertainment. She is the producer of two web-series for Fox Channels International and a short film for Lazio Region. "Porto il Velo Adoro i Queen" is her first documentary and she is now working on her second feature opera film.
