A documentation of one of the greatest photographers of the 20th century. Sisters, friends, wives and collaborators carry the plot of the film, returning to the origins of his work and life to figure out what we will probably never be able to understand: Why, and how, does one become an artist? BIOGRAPHY:
Since the late 1970s, Jean Michel Vecchiet has been the subject of numerous exhibitions in museums and festivals all over the world. Since 1997, he has also become a director of television news and documentaries. His films have been broadcast in more than fifty countries among them “Basquiat, a Life”, “Iran a Power Unveiled”, “Lives and Deaths of Andy Warhol”, “Photographers of Mao”, “Peter Lindbergh, a Portrait”, “Marc Riboud: The Man who Walks”. Jean Michel Vecchiet lives between France and Lebanon. The United States, China and the Middle East are among the territories where he has been shooting his films for the past forty years. Art, history and geopolitics are his favorite subjects.
