SYNOPSIS:
A father and a son struggle every day to preserve their herdsman activity after a violent earthquake took their town away, as well as their affections and any hope for a normal life. A ruthless businessman, ready to do anything in order to overcome their resistance, wants to force them to leave their land forever, perfect to make an illegal dump on which nothing will ever grow.

BIOGRAPHY:
Niccolò Rivera, after graduating in Cinema, Television and New Media under the supervision of critic and journalist Gianni Canova and director Marco Pozzi, approached filmmaking as a freelancer, shooting and editing fashion films and web-advertisings for some important fashion, publishing and design brands. He began to take his first steps in film, covering various production roles for short and documentary films. "Le mani sulle macerie" is his first short film as a director.
