SYNOPSIS:
Ombre della sera” recounts the difficult processes of family reintegration. It is about inmates and ex-inmates of the Rome based prison of Rebibbia, who re-enact their returns to home after many years of separation. Inspired by the protagonists and their families’ real lives.

BIOGRAPHY:
Valentina Esposito (1975), from 1995 to 2016 has worked at Enrico Maria Salerno Center of Study, promoting cultural and theatrical productions, primarily focused on European social issues. In 2003, she started her theatrical work in the prison of Rebibbia. As theatrical director Valentina has worked on projects with inmates with long term convictions - G8 Section of the prison. Amongst the plays she has directed several theatrical plays such as “La Festa”, “Viaggio all’isola di Sakhalin” and many others. Between 2011 and 2012 Valentina coordinated the theatrical part for “Cesare deve morire” a film directed by Paolo and Vittorio Taviani, winner in 2012 of the Golden Bear at the Berlinale and of five David di Donatello. In 2013 Valentina set up Fort Apache Teatro within the ex-inmates of Rebibbia. “Ombre della sera" is her first documentary.
