A crowd of people in Iran gather to watch the execution of a young girl; she begs everyone for help and horrified they all look away as she is about to get hanged, but one particular bystander cannot remain silent.

BIOGRAPHY:
Tara Atashgah grew up in Tehran, Iran where true life-stories and everyday heroes inspired her to become a filmmaker. She moved to the States in 2006 to pursuit that goal. She attended Brooks Institute in California and received her Bachelor of Arts in Film and Video Production, and her Master of Arts in Screenwriting. For The Birds was Taras Masters thesis film and was inspired by true stories.
