SYNOPSIS:
In the villa of a noble Italian family, a nine-year-old girl who hopes to make it to her first Holy Communion, is thrown by her parent’s separation and her mother’s departure. She goes looking for reconciliation, only to find a “communion” she has never expected.

BIOGRAPHY:
Cristina Spina attended the Academy of Dramatic Arts, "Silvio D'Amico", After graduating, she began to work with some of the best Italian theatre directors: Luca Ronconi, Massimo Castri and Carlo Cecchi. Afterwards, she studied Filmmaking at NYU, in New York. She has worked as an actress with Pupi Avati "La via degli angeli", "Il cuore altrove", Irene Papas and Giuliana Berlinguer "Ecuba" and with Matteo Rovere "Veloce come il vento". In 2006, she made her American debut in the lead role of Martha Clarke's, "Kaos", by Frank Pugliese at the New York Theatre Workshop. In 2016 she worked with Karin Coonrod in the lead role of Elizabeth at BAM and FOLGER Theatre and directed her first fully realized short film, "So Be It".
