SYNOPSIS:
It is 1968 and Marianne is 19. She is placed in a home far from her family and friends where she meets other young girls whose common secret has shaken the foundations of their social standing.

BIOGRAPHY:
Julie Gourdain was born in Paris in 1986. After graduating in Literature from high school, she studied Film Theory at L'Université Paris VII, during which time she developed a special interest in the links between dance and cinema. She spent a year abroad as an exchange student at Wesleyan University (CT), USA, followed by a Master's degree in film direction at ECAL/HEAD in Lausanne, Switzerland. On completion of her studies she helped found the company StudioFly, whilst writing and then directing 'Veil of Silence' (2016).
