SYNOPSIS:
A small red-brick building stands out with a big neon light: bagni (bath). This is the last public bath in the city where everybody can take a shower. It’s a microcosm of people’s stories told during one of the most intimate moment of their routine: the personal hygiene. It’s a meeting place for people coming from very different social environment who, however, have the same needs. It’s a conflict place, where poverty takes the features of violence and anger. Its an integration place because, where poverty dwells, sharing and altruism are values for a rebirth.

BIOGRAPHY:
Stefania Bona was born in Trentino in 1978. Since she studies Fine Arts, carried out a personal artistic research, working between Italy and Germany. She approached to creative documentaries attending ZeLIG school for documentary in Italy (2007-2010), specializing in camera and lights. Then she worked in Shantimedia Studio as freelance for commercial videos and collaborated with the collective Don Quixote for the documentary section. Since three years she's working on documentaries as camera woman and on fiction films as camera assistant. Gente dei Bagni is her first documentary as director.
Francesca Scalisi was born in Bergamo in 1982. After her classical studies, she took a degree in Fine Art in Bergamo. In 2006-2007 she studied in Denmark at the European Film College and from 2007 to 2010 she attended ZeLIG school for documentary, as editing and sound post production. In 2012 she moved in Switzerland and created along with two colleagues the film production company Dok Mobile. She is currently involved in the production of her two new documentaries, Digitalcurry and A l'envers.
