SYNOPSIS:
During a languorous summer in a village on the Dutch-Belgian border, eight rebellious teens go in search of fun, sex and excitement. Their originally innocent sex games gradually turn into professionally sold porn, prostitution and blackmail. Their playful lives acquire a dark undercurrent and come to a crashing halt when something goes badly wrong. Dreamy, ‘The Virgin Suicides’-like images alternate with hedonistic violence and sex in this adaptation of the eponymous, controversial novel ‘Wij’ by Elvis Peeters.

BIOGRAPHY:
Rene Eller is a Dutch director and producer who lives in Amsterdam. He started his own production company, Czar Films, that grew into one of the largest commercial production companies worldwide.. In the same period, Eller was also working for Propaganda Films in the United States, where he was part of a passionate group of established directors such as Michel Gondry, David Fincher, Sofia Coppola, Mark Romanek and Spike Jonze. It is around this time that his ambition to make feature films slowly begins to emerge. After having made his first short film, Lola, in Los Angeles, his American agent offered him several scripts which triggered him to focus full-time on making feature films. ‘We’ is his first feature film.
