BIOGRAPHY:
After starting as a photographer and documentary filmmaker, in 1977 Maurizio Sciarra began working as assistant director; the most important collaboration is with Luigi Comencini, he works for over ten years to create films like 'Cuore', 'La Storia', 'Un ragazzo di Calabria', 'Buon Natale, Buon Anno'. He made his first feature film in 1997: "La Stanza dello Scirocco", with Giancarlo Giannini and Tiziana Lodato. In 2001 the film " Alla rivoluzione sulla due cavalli ", with Adriano Giannini, Gwaenelle Simon, Andoni Gracia, Francisco Rabal. He has been a member of the 'Istituto Luce' and currently he is the Apulia Film Commission president.
