SYNOPSIS:
Mr. Dimitris lives her life in the conservative Greek fishing village where she was born. She nursed her dying parents and now lives alone, able, at last, to enjoy her femininity by dancing in the street to old pop records, watched by her cat. Misunderstood by family but celebrated by journalists covering the refugee crisis, her resilience is captured by a Lesbian film maker similarly aware of what it means to grow up different in a tiny traditional community.

BIOGRAPHY:
Tzeli Hadjidimitriou is a researcher of authenticity, an independent filmmaker, fine art photographer and travel writer, from Lesbos, Greece. She studied Direction of Photography for the Cinema. She collaborated with major Greek producers and studios and worked with many Greek film directors and BBC. She is the author of guidebooks and of six photography books, with work shown in museums and galleries in Greece and abroad. She has published many articles about her global travels in the Greek Press. Among her films: “In search of Orpheus” (best Greek documentary AegeanDocs 2019), “Salt and bread” (sound award Docfest 2018), “Sappho’s granddaughters”, “A land of silence”
