SYNOPSIS:
In Italy, the passage from the Lira to the Euro has been highly traumatic for everyone, especially for Gianni, known as ‘Millelire’. Gianni spends his life asking people for banknotes of one thousand Lire, in order to buy cigarettes or a sandwich. That is actually a request of love, in particular when his family decides to kick him out of the house, he starts his life as a homeless. For him, money has always been the only way to be able to relate to the world.

Vito Cea is a director and editor from Matera. He is the manager of RVM Broadcast Srl, along with Mario Raele, a production company working actively for the last 25 years. After several experiences in both cinema and television, he has been specializing in film direction, directing short film, which have received many awards. In 2011, he directed the comedy 'Don't tell me', distributed by Bolero. His second movie 'I'll redo my trullo' came out on March 2016.
