SYNOPSIS:
A young Spanish director gets fired from his job at a television broadcast. Trying to get back his dream of filmmaking, he travels to India in search of his first film, but this will help him discover that the real search wasn´t in India but back home. Actually he was escaping… However, on his return to Madrid, things dont exactly go as he expected…

BIOGRAPHY:
León Siminiani graduated in Spanish Literature and Film Direction at the Columbia University in New York. Passionate about the possibilities of the audiovisual, he experimented different formats and genres. In 2011 he released a fiction short film El Premio, whose script was nominated for the 2012 Goya Awards for Best Fiction Short film. Produced by Avalon PC, Pantalla Partida and himself, MAPA is his first feature film where he continues investigating the fertile border where fiction and non-fiction meet. His most notable fiction and non-fiction film works have won many international awards.
