SYNOPSIS:
Today’s crisis is characterized by a huge political vacuum in which people feel disoriented, stuck between a past now long gone, and little hope for the future. Young people are the ones most affected by this situation, having hardly any example to follow and not much left to believe in, yet there was a time when a similar crisis was overcome. Reading the present through the eyes of Antonio Gramsci, Pietro Nenni and Sandro Pertini, a trip between Italy, France and Spain investigates the current crisis in the light of a past that now seems so far away.

BIOGRAPHY:
Lucia Senesi, after obtaining a master in multimedia communication, started working in cinema and literature. Her first short film "Le conoscenze difficili" was in competition at Youfilmaker, an international short film festival, in 2015, and recently it has been selected by Elysium Bandini Studios (Los Angeles, CA). After working as assistant director in theatre and cinema, in 2016 she realized her debut feature film, "Avanti". Lucia currently lives in Los Angeles, where she attended a directing masterclass with James Franco, and she’s working on a new documentary about Art and Politics in the USA.
