SYNOPSIS:
Ahlem and Victoria are two teenagers with far distant roots who have been growing up in Sicily. “What’s your dream today?” they often ask each other. The Imam of the refugee center where Ahlem works as a volunteer, asks her one day to arrange a welcome for a boat of new immigrants who are about to reach Sicily. When everything is ready, as the tension for the waiting arises, Ahlem reveals to Victoria the origin of her name…

BIOGRAPHY:
Alessandra studied Dance and Art in Venice at the Accademia di Belle Arti. Alessandra directed a number of videos for some of Italy's most well known music talents as well as advertising campaigns for clients like Lancia, di Saronno and Campari. Since 2002 she has been leading workshops in Universities and Fine Arts Academies, and in 2014 she directed her debut feature film, "The Nightless City".
