The software, connected to the brain, captures the unconscious desires of the patients and “puts them on stage” in the Virtual Life of each one. Anna, a famous 50-year-old cellist, has decided to let her husband Giovanni (in a coma for a year) enter the Virtual Life program and lives taking care of him every day, wondering what Giovanni is experiencing in Virtual Life.

Io non sono pazza

In 7 minutes, the director Duccio Forzano, manages to give voice, body and images to a place and to the still persistent presences, of the “uncomfortable women” locked in spite of themselves in what was the Provincial Psychiatric Hospital of Udine. “Io non sono pazza” (I Am Not Crazy ) was realized in less than one day, in the month of May, with natural light and simple technical means, for the sixth edition of the event “L’ARTE NON MENTE , Genius loci, beyond the Asylum” by Donatella Nonino. The performer is the artist Adele Ceraudo, who is always with her art, interpretative ability, video, photography, performance and pen drawing gives strength and value to the body and soul of a women. The artist involves Duccio Forzano, a director who works between the television, cinema and theater, sensitive and attentive. The two artist decide to find an opportunity to collaborate. “Io non sono pazza” it triggers the spark and it is so that that video acquires, thanks to the empathy, the sensitivity of both and those powerful and suggestive places, the disruptive and narrative structure of a short film. An artistic and social project that wants to put the spotlight on an existed reality, of untold injustices and cruelties, which made mental distress the basis with which to justify real tortures, physical and psychic. Hard images that poetically tell, strong and very delicate details, correlated by a sound background composed by a perfectly fitting music and by reading to various voices, of letters, never sent that the “alienated” wrote to the family …

Impromptu is also a homage to the Fin-du-siècle period, to their unforgettable muses, and to the fascination for movement itself, which lead to the invention of filmmaking.
