SYNOPSIS:
At the beginning of the twentieth century, a group of ill-fated people walked for months to reach the huge diamond deposits in Poxoreu, Mato Grosso. Buracos is their coral narration, a different story of Brazil, far from the stereotypes. As luck vanishes, the inability to plan the future remains the only legacy of the diamond. The only person who makes the reverse journey is a young theater director, who left Poxorèu to stage the story lived by the elderly, because there cant be a people without culture.

Matteo Ferrarini consegue la laurea specialistica in Cinema, Televisione e Produzione multimediale al D.A.M.S dell'Università di Bologna nel 2010, maturando una particolare predilezione per il genere documentaristico. Realizza in equipe, durante luniversità, la video-inchiesta Verità di specchi. La DIS-informazione nel caso Aldrovandi e partecipa come sceneggiatore al documentario Indagine su una metro al di sopra di ogni sospetto premiato al Collecchio Film Festival nel 2008. La sua opera prima, Jali Road, è stata selezionata al Rome Independent Film Festival 2011, in concorso nella categoria DocumentaRIFF National Documentary Competition ed ha vinto il premio speciale al Collecchio Film Festival 2011.
