BIOGRAPHY:
Andrea Simonetti was born in Taranto in 1981. He studied acting at Teatro Stabiles Accademy in Torino. He worked as a theatre actor in many plays, such as: Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, A midsummer nights dream, and Don Chisciotte with Luca Ronconi, Massimo Castri and Maurizio Avogadro. He has acted in many Italian movies for film and television, such as: Black Stars, Marpiccolo, Manuale damore 2, Ris 2, Distretto di polizia 8, and Squadra antimafia. He also wrote the screenplay for the short film The Reason. Alle corde is his first work as a director.
