Return to Zero, directed by the American Sean Hanish, will be the opening movie of the XIII Edition of the Rome Independent Film Festival, agonizing story of a young couple up against a stillbirth, a difficult and controversial issue, untold by the movie industry. The protagonists Maggie and Aaron must face the tragic news of the inevitable death of their baby after his birth, a fact that will leave a mark in their relationship. Shot almost entirely in Los Angeles, the film is inspired by the painful personal experience of the director, who lost his son Norbert in similar circumstances, in 2005 and was financed by the support of the numerous online communities and Perinatal Deaths support groups, as well as from all those who have voluntarily contributed with a donation through the crowd funding website “Kickstarter”. The movie beside is the return on the big screen of Minnie Driver, nominated for the 1998 Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for Good Will Hunting, other excellent names are: Paul Adelstein (Prison Break, Grey’s Anatomy) and Alfred Molina (Spider Man 2,The Da Vinci Code, Abduction). The documentary No Limits by Juan Carlos Alom, Armando Suárez Cobián and Ismael de Diego is the forerunner of the movie (Sala 1 – 8.10 p.m.).
