SYNOPSIS:
’Crossing Rachmaninoff” is the story of a pianist’s journey to redemption through Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No.2. Flavio Villani is preparing for a performance that will confirm his arrival as a concert pianist and vindicate his decision to be a musician. First he must grapple with the music and face his inner fears. He returns to Italy to the family who rejected his homosexuality and discouraged him from a life in the arts. Rebecca Tansley is a New Zealand writer and director whose career has spanned book publishing, film, television and online media. Rebecca has written two internationally published non-fiction books, a television drama, and written, directed and produced a short film. "Crossing Rachmaninoff" is her first feature.
